The song was written by Taio Cruz, Lil' Wayne, and Norwegian production duo, Stargate who also produced the song. The song was recorded at Roc the Mic Studios in New York and Westlake Recording in Los Angeles, California.
The song made its debut on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at #40 due to the high number of downloads after "Love?" was released. Currently, the song is at #9 on the chart and #3 on the UK R&B chart.
In the United States, "I'm Into You" debuted at #72 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the week of May 21st, also due to the high number of downloads and the release of the music video. It dropped off the Hot 100 after 2 weeks, but has since re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 and the sales for the song increased, currently peaking at #49 on the Hot 100. The song has also done well internationally, even topping the charts in South Korea.
The music video was filmed by Melina Matsoukas and Jennifer flew to Chichen Itza in Mexico to film the video. Telenovela actor\model William Levy was cast as Jennifer's love interest in the video.
